Yellow rice is traditional Indonesian rice cooked with coconut milk and turmeric. It can also cooked without coconut milk for a healthier option but less tastier if you don't mind. It is often served during special events. It comes in the form of cone called Tumpeng, placed on a big rattan tray with variety of side dishes such as shredded omelette, perkedel, serundeng (grated coconut with spices), urap or pecel (vegetables), fried noodle, peanuts, emping crackers or prawn crackers, balado, egg, meat (chicken or beef). We don't serve meat in our menu as we provide vegetarian dishes.

The rice is like a pile of gold thus it is often served in parties, opening ceremonies, to symbolize wealth, good fortune and dignity. It is customarily that the top of the Tumpeng is given to the most senior person attending the ceremonies or the host.
